Become a Facilitator

A Facilitator is someone who uses their God given talents to guide a Be Formed small group. They do this by leading their group’s weekly discussions and prayer, keeping conversations on track, encouraging participation, and fostering relationships.

What Makes a Good Facilitator?

Small group facilitators have an incredible calling to walk with a group of people who are on various levels of spiritual maturity. God equips us for this by giving us particular gifts, talents, and skills to be used to walk with others.

Good facilitators are self-aware of their limitations and shortcomings. However, when it is understood that the Holy Spirit is the leader, facilitators are set on fire and sent on mission.

Charisms of a Good Facilitator:

  • Leadership
  • Encouragement
  • Service

Being a good facilitator is not about what you know or don’t know. It’s about encouraging people to participate and share with one another for the building up of the Body of Christ!

The role of a facilitator is to see and hear all those who are present in the group and keep the conversation on track. Being a good facilitator means creating an atmosphere of hospitality where people feel welcomed and safe, and where they can trust that they are walking with the Lord.
